Community Disaster Preparedness

As we all know, there's a chance we may face emergency situations such as wildfires, floods, earthquakes, and climate change. As a neighborhood, we want to make sure we're prepared to help each other out in case anything happens.

In 2019, we conducted our first disaster preparedness survey and we were thrilled to receive 160 responses - that's 37% out of a total of 427 homes in Peacock Gap! We found out that 25% of our neighbors indicated they would need help in case of an emergency, and 75% of our neighbors said they would help others.

So, we're creating small neighborhood pods based on these survey responses. Our main focus right now is to connect residents who need help in an emergency with those who are willing to offer assistance.

If you haven't had a chance to fill out the disaster preparedness survey, we'd love it if you could do so below, it only takes a few minutes to complete and it will help us be better prepared as a community.
